Al-Nusairi said in an interview with “Al-Iqtisad News”, that the economic situation in Iraq for a long time, which may exceed two decades, suffers from problems, challenges and repercussions due to subjectivity and objectivity, most notably instability and the rise and decline in international oil prices, given that Iraq depends mainly on oil and constitutes 93% of The total revenues of the general budget.
Therefore, the economic crisis during the last two years and the measures to change the exchange rate of the dinar and the lack of local production for most imported materials led to a rise in the prices of construction materials, which contributed to the rise in real estate prices, and formed a high inflation rate for the past three months compared to the previous months.
He added that the Central Bank had been supportive of the issue of granting real estate loans, and in addition to its many initiatives in financing various projects, it had added 5 trillion to housing loans and residential complexes, and had also allocated, earlier, 1 trillion allocated to private banks, loans of up to 100 million dinars to buy apartments in residential complexes Or the construction of a property, and this constitutes a great support from the Central Bank for the purpose of revitalizing the housing sector and controlling the rise in real estate prices. Central Bank initiatives.

The Crisis Cell In Baghdad Is Waving Proposals To Solve The Electricity Problem And Return The Free Fuel Quota To Generator Owners
Part of the press conference of the crisis cell Money and business Economy News – Baghdad The Crisis Cell in Baghdad announced, on Saturday, that it has developed several proposals regarding the electricity crisis that it will submit to the Iraqi Council of Ministers for discussion with the Prime Minister, noting that there is a proposal to return the free fuel share to generator owners, during the stressful months.
The Governor of Baghdad, Muhammad Jaber Al-Atta, said in an “emergency” press conference held by the Crisis Cell in Baghdad about the electricity crisis facing the capital, and “Economy News” followed it, that “the electricity crisis is directly related to the water crisis resulting from the drying of the main rivers and the drop in the water level, Meanwhile, electric power plants operate on hydroelectric pools.
He added that “there is a suffocating water crisis in various areas, including the districts of Mada’in and Al-Zawra, the area ofAl-Maamal, Husseiniya and Mahmudiyah, and other areas such as Latifiyah, Yusufiyah and Abu Ghraib, due to the power outages and the insufficient pumping of water.”
Al-Atta pointed out that meetings were held in the House of Representatives between the Speaker, the Deputy Speaker and the concerned representatives to discuss the water crisis in Baghdad, stressing the need for coordination and cooperation between the Ministries of Water Resources and Electricity to solve the existing crisis.
He pointed out that “there is a major crisis facing the country with the high rates of infection with the Corona virus and the long hours of power cuts in the treatment centers for the injured,” stressing the need to solve the problem of electricity and secure energy to supply hospitals with it with high temperatures.
The governor of Baghdad explained that gas stations and diesel power generators are unable to fill the shortage in the supply of electrical energy by national power stations, and that the crisis is putting great pressure on owners of private generators, coinciding with the low water level and high fuel prices, and the increase in hours of electricity supply to 18 hours.
He added that the issue of electricity is a federal issue, and it is not the responsibility of the governorates to supply electricity. Each governorate receives the amount of electricity allocated to it and distributes it to all its electricity departments.
The Crisis Cell in Baghdad confirmed that it will continue its efforts to solve the electrical crisis in cooperation with the Iraqi Ministries of Electricity and Water Resources, by raising the operational capacity of diesel generators and water engines.
Al-Atta said that the plan to address the water and electricity crisis requires an additional amount of operational funds, while the Iraqi government reduced Baghdad’s share of operational funds in the general federal budget for 2021 by 50% compared to the previous year, which caused a decline in the governorate’s services.
The governor of Baghdad, during his talk about solving the electricity problem, indicated that this needs to allocate an additional share of funds and the amount of fuel allocated to the departments concerned with the problem, and that Baghdad is under great pressure and needs the cooperation of the federal agencies and the Council of Ministers with it to end the crisis.
On the other hand, Al-Atta called on the judicial authorities to take an active role and hold the generators’ negligent owners accountable, with the security services interacting in lifting the abuses.
For his part, the Baghdad police chief confirmed the agreement with the governor of Baghdad and the heads of administrative units in the Baghdad governorate that the police will take all legal measures against the owners of generators who violate the conditions and instructions set by the governorate regarding pricing, indicating that it was agreed to adopt the legal representative of the district or unit. Administrative to file formal complaints before the judiciary against violators of the administrative units they represent. Views 34 Date Added 07/03/2021 https://economy-news.net/content.php?id=25574
