Clare: Will Biden’s decision to freeze Afghan funds be repeated with Iraq? Al-Kazemi’s advisor responds

{Economic: Al Furat News} The Iraqi government reassured about Iraqi assets in the United States, hours after US President Joe Biden’s decision, today, Friday, to freeze the Afghan government’s funds on accounts in American banks.
Mazhar Muhammad Salih, the financial advisor to the Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, told {Euphrates News}: “Practically, it cannot happen to Iraq as it happened with Afghanistan, because relations with the United States are good and normal.”
He stressed, “Dealing with the Iraqi financial system and in the United States on a regular basis, and that Iraq has ambitions for high stability.”
And Saleh said, “Our relations with America are sufficient to stand up to any such demands.”
On Friday, US President Joe Biden signed an executive order aimed at releasing $7 billion in assets from the Afghan Central Bank, to humanitarian aid to the Afghan people and to the ongoing lawsuits brought by American victims of terrorism, including the September 11, 2001 attacks.

Militiaman Lets watch and see if they play the game of reverting back to the 1450 from 1460 as it is said that the PM has mentioned it. That would mean to go international by…the process of deleting the three zeros from the exchange rate. 1460 then becomes 1.46. Militiaman Let’s keep in mind it was also said by the PM for that rate change and it is said to be 02/22/2022. That is aligned with the same time frame for the Dissolution of the committee out of the UN with respect to Iraq being freed from Chapter VII… So, with all of the data we have we can see there is progress and imminence to a rate change. imo. I personally don’t think the dissolution is a necessity item for the rate change, I believe it is a formality only and after the fact…imo [Post 2 of 2]
