The Prime Minister-designate, Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, confirmed on Saturday (15 February 2020) that his government was close to achieving a historic achievement by choosing an independent ministerial cabinet of the competent and impartial, without the intervention of any political party.
Allawi mentioned in a tweet on his platform with “Twitter”, saying: “We are close to achieving a historic achievement, which is the completion of an independent ministerial cabinet of the competent and impartial without the intervention of any political party.”
He added: “We will put the names of this booth this week, God willing, away from rumors and leaks, and we hope members of the House of Representatives will respond and vote on them in order to start implementing the people’s demands.”
On Friday, MP Mohammed Al-Khalidi, head of the Bairaq Al-Khair bloc, revealed that the House of Representatives will vote on the government of the Prime Minister-designate, Mohammed Tawfiq Allawi, whose formation has been completed and includes five women ministers during next Tuesday as a maximum.
Al-Khalidi said, in a press statement, that “Allawi completed his cabinet cabinet on the basis of components, not parties. He informed the President of the Republic and Parliament, Mahdi, of this, and it can be voted on during the next week, from Sunday to next Tuesday.”
He added: “There are some points of view and continuous consultation with their owners is continuing for everyone to participate in voting on the ministerial booth.”
He pointed out that the new government has “outstanding issues like the 140 regions and the Kurdistan region’s share of the budget and the peshmerga and oil and gas salaries and these are matters that can be developed between the federal government,” explaining: “Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi has excellent relations with the brothers in the Kurdistan region and is ready to negotiate to solve the crisis That will be resolved only through dialogue. ”
He expected that there will be “a breakthrough in many issues in the future between Erbil and Baghdad, and the region will have a major role in the next government and the solution of problems,” stating that “90% of the (Shiite) Shiites agree with the government and 50-55% of the Sunnis, while the Kurds are a case Especially, negotiations are continuing and could yield good results. ”
He went on to say: “Allawi continues to communicate with the brothers in the Kurdistan Region, including Fouad Hussein, Hoshyar Zebari and Kak Masoud Barzani, and he has a role in communicating with Baghdad and I am very optimistic in reaching a result and visiting the Kurdistan region is necessary to reach solutions to the accumulations of the past through constructive dialogue and the development of relations Neither side can do without the other. ”
He noted that “Allawi is busy with the new cabinet and demonstrations, and there are contacts with all the existing coordination and he managed to convince most of them to meet their requests and form an advisory committee between his office and the coordination, and the pretending audience is the standard because Allawi came to the specifications of the street, which set conditions for the ministers as well.”
